Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams.

"I can't stop now, I've got troubles of my own..."

Ok. This is just making me mad. There's this one spot on my lower lip, ok? And every time I had a meal yesterday, I would somehow accidentally bite that one spot on my lip while I was chewing. IT HAPPENED EIGHT TIMES. Over the course of the day. THE SAME SPOT. And now it's all painful and swollen. And I'm thinking...this needs to stop. But guess what happened when I ate my breakfast half an hour ago? You guessed right! An alien spacecraft landed in my bedroom! No, I just bit my lip again. I'm starting to get really mad about this.

And I thought I'd just...tell everyone. There.

Yesterday was really fun. My friend L and I went to the planetarium to see a show on black holes. Only it was sold out. So we walked around the museum for an hour and looked at dinosaurs and stuff and saw many cool things. We were very disappointed in the "Exploring Evolution" hallway, because the Fruit Fly Mating Game was closed for maintenance. Man.

But then we ended up going to a different show at the planetarium. It was all about stars and stuff. It was a pretty small room, and there were about a million kindergarteners and two high school seniors (us). This one kid, who couldn't have been more than nine or ten, kept spouting all this astonomical knowledge about stuff even I didn't know. And this other kid who must have been about four raised his hand and said:

"I have a question!"

The presenter said, "What?"

"We saw the dinosaurs!"

And yes, it was very funny. And afterwards we went home and then one of my friends came over and gave me a gun that shoots ninjas. I'm totally serious.

I'm getting my senior pictures taken today. Hopefully those'll turn out nicely. They'll get posted up here, don't worry.

(Everyone who was on the edge of their seat waiting for me to say that last part now breathes a sigh of relief. "Thank heaven." "I can go on living again!" "NOW MY LIFE HAS A PURPOSE AND A MEANING!!!")

In the spirit of Andrew W.'s traditional blog-post-ending...spirit...tradition...endings, I shall post some lyrics to round off this entry. They are from a song I like, much much much.

On this half-lit day
With your crown beneath your wings
Every word just echoes
And the empty world sings

Where have you gone my feather light heart?
I never imagined I could leave...

In the glistening
Of a lost and open sky
Tiny piece of you sits
Simple wish waits for reply

Where have you gone my feather light heart?
You mustn't forget what love can see...

"Where", Lisbeth Scott

Lip-biting is incredibly aggravating. Ah well, we humans must struggle with these things whilst shuffling in our mortal coils. So to speak.

Yes, sheet music is exciting. Sort of. I am now completely music-literate, for I can read and write. And hooray, I am a tradition-starter. Huzzah.

I have a new song. I'm pretty proud of it, because it has a melody. It's an absolutely craptacular melody, but it does exist! And I really like the lyrics. Perhaps I shall send it to you.

Well, it's not that being a pastor isn't something I want to do. For all I know, I could be a brilliant pastor. There's definitely no lack of interest or enthusiasm. It's more that I'm not going to go around saying things like, "Oh, yes, I'm obviously perfect for the job, blahblahblah" before I even get past college, y'know? That would be presumptuous and arrogant of me. However, for the type of work I want to do, I feel that pastoral training would indeed be necessary. We shall see what happens, eh?

I saw your comment on Joe's page. 2 things. Actually, 3.

1. It's well nigh impossible to get the UTIS songbook here in the U.S. It's only available in the U.K. Believe me, I've tried. Getting it is more trouble than it's worth.

2. I don't know if you could easily play the stuff in their songbook. Although I suppose you could always modify it if you had to, so never mind.

3. UTIS is awesome, isn't it?

He thinks I don't act my age. Not in the usual way; he thinks I'm too old.

I always bite my lip, too! Not eight times in one day, but pretty close to it. I hope the senior pictures turned out well! I was very pleased with mine.

Goodness, I need to actually keep up with your blog and not just check it randomly. I miss a lot of things that way.

I've started blogging again, but not on my xanga. Yesterday for the first time since October something, I posted on Think Upon These Things. (http://thinkuponthesethings.blogspot.com.)

Off to read the other entries I've missed! Toodles!
